This is no sew that way its quick and easy to make.  I made a princess, a knight, and a dragon.  Super simple.

Take a 12x12 scrapbooking paper and mark off every two inches.  As you can see I already made the lines spaced every two inches.  Cut along the lines.
Next you will fold back and forth the 2x12 strips. Till all of them looked kinked. Glue the ends together making a circle.

(32" x 64" x 36")  We used 2x4, 2x6 and 2x2 (for the supports).  We sanded and stained it two different colors.  An ebony and a cherry wood stain.  I love the country yet modern look.  You'll notice there are no screws showing.  Very strong and stable table. I've standed on it and its held up beautifully.
